Professional Coaching
Interview & Technical Presentation Coaching
Who this is for
Engineers, scientists, and STEM students preparing for a specific, dated event: a job or internship interview, a promotion or selection board, a capstone defense, a conference talk, or a briefing to people who do not share your technical background.
Clients are usually adults booking for themselves. There is no course, no syllabus, and no grade — the deliverable is that you walk into the room with a structure you trust and have already rehearsed.

The two services
Interview Preparation
Behavioral and technical interviews, promotion and selection boards. Building a bank of specific stories you can actually retrieve under pressure, instead of improvising an answer to a question you half-expected.
How interview coaching works →Technical Presentation & Public Speaking
Capstones, conference talks, and briefings to a non-technical audience. Narrative structure first, then delivery mechanics, then the Q&A you are actually afraid of.
How presentation coaching works →How coaching works
Prepare, practice, review — the same rhythm as a tutoring session, with different instruments. Instead of a syllabus and a whiteboard export, coaching runs on your own material and a recording of you using it.
Send the material first. The job description, the slide deck, the board's published question areas, the abstract you submitted. A session that starts with me reading your deck for the first time is a session you paid to watch someone read.
Structure before delivery. Most presentations that go badly were organized badly, not delivered badly — and most interview answers that ramble are answers with no shape decided in advance. Fixing the structure fixes more of the nerves than practicing the nerves does.
Rehearse against something realistic. Mock interviews with follow-up questions, presentations delivered to the clock, and the awkward question asked out loud rather than imagined.
Review the recording. Watching your own delivery is the single fastest way to remove filler words and fix pacing, and it is the part clients most often say they had never done before.
What you leave with
- The full session recording. Especially important here — you cannot fix a delivery habit you have never watched.
- Written feedback and an action plan. Specific notes on structure, narrative flow, and delivery, rather than "that was good."
- Reusable frameworks. Outlines for technical talks and a story structure for behavioral questions, which keep working for the next interview and the one after it.
- Scheduling coordinated directly with me. Coaching is usually booked against a fixed date, so the sessions are placed to land before it.
What this is not
- Writing your talk, your slides, or your interview answers for you. The work has to be yours or it collapses the first time someone asks a follow-up.
- Résumé and CV writing as a standalone service.
- Accent reduction or speech therapy, which are a different profession.
- A guarantee of an offer, a selection, or a grade. Nobody can honestly sell that.
- Prepared coaching curriculum off a shelf. Sessions are built from the material you send.
Common questions
Do I need to be a student?
No. Most coaching clients are working professionals booking for themselves. The inquiry form has a Professional Coaching option that skips the student-and-guardian questions entirely.
How many sessions does this take?
It depends on the date you are working toward and how much material exists already. A single session before an interview is a legitimate booking, and so is a weekly series over a term. We settle that on the free 15-minute call rather than selling a package up front.
Is coaching priced differently from tutoring?
It has its own tier, because it is priced by service type rather than course level. The rate is above, and the pricing page states every rate on the site in one place.
Can we work on something that is not an interview or a talk?
Ask. Difficult technical conversations, a viva, and a written brief you have to defend out loud are all adjacent enough that I will tell you honestly whether I can help before you book anything.
Tell me what you're preparing for
Send the date, the format, and whatever material exists so far. We will start with a free 15-minute call to confirm it is a fit.
